Lloyd Clare Elfring

Lloyd Clare Elfring, age 86, of Marshall died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.Mr. Elfring was born on August 31, 1919 in Ann Arbor and was raised by his adopted parents, William L. and Ethel (Hatton) Elfring. He had lived in the Marshall area the majority of his life. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy Air Force. Mr. Elfring was a realtor and sold properties in the Marshall and Bellevue areas.On October 25, 1946, he married the former Lois Eileen Rogers in Ann Arbor.Lloyd was a member and past president of the Battle Creek Board of Reality. Other memberships include the Masons, the Bellevue Historical Society and the Claude E. Hale V.F.W. Post in Marshall. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Superior and spending time at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula at the East Branch Sportsman''s Club.He is survived by his wife, Lois; and sister, Ellen Korzuck of Ann Arbor.No public services are being planned at this time.
