Linda "Fireball" Marie Miller, 77, of Homer, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She was born on April 28, 1947 to Kenneth and Donna (King) Sprague in Albion, Michigan. She was a graduate of Concord High School and attended Kellogg Community College.
On September 20, 1980 Linda married Rene Miller in Homer, Michigan at Crooks Prairie Church. She worked at Lonny's Grocery Store and Lonny's Video in Homer for many years.
Linda was very active volunteering at her children's sporting events and in the Homer community, she even became the scorekeeper at their basketball games. She enjoyed word search books, watching CSI and NCIS, collecting clowns and cherubs, going to yard sales and the casino, camping and canoeing. Linda loved gardening, especially growing flowers and always anticipated the return of the hummingbirds in the spring. Ryker was her grandson’s dog which amazingly became her dog, and they were best friends for sure. Her greatest joy in life was her husband, children and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Rene, her children, Shannon (Rick) Randolph of Homer, Michigan, Erin (Brett) Baldridge of Litchfield, Michigan and Scott (Carmen) Miller of Battle Creek, Michigan; her grandchildren, Jeff (Casey) Lower of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Aaron (Tori) Bartog of Omro, Wisconsin, Patrick Miller of Cadillac, Michigan, Layne Wyman of Homer, Michigan and Brennon (Haven Bowers) Wyman of Jackson, Michigan, her 8 great grandchildren; her siblings, David Brewer of Canyon City, Colorado, Kenny "Bimbo" Sprague of Concord, Michigan Julie Sprague of White Bluff, Tennessee and Peggy (Bill) Winchell-Becker of Hanover, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronnie Eugene Sprague.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Kempf's of Homer 303 S. Hillsdale St. Homer, Michigan 49245 with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Devon Shephard officiating.
Burial will take place at Fisher Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Homer Community Schools.
