Lawrence "Larry" A White

February 11, 1953 — November 2, 2023

Marshall

Lawrence “Larry” A White, 70 of Marshall passed away on November 2, 2023, after a motorcycle accident on October 24th.  Larry was born on February 11, 1953, in Muskegon to Charles and Marion White.  He was the youngest of six and lived up to his role as the cute but annoying little brother.  As an adult, he kept his joking ways but took pride in looking out for everyone he loved.  His caring ways extended beyond his family to include his friends. It was not uncommon for him to stop by with food that he made, Louie’s donuts, or random “stuff” he found and thought one of his grandkids would need to have.

He loved all his motorcycles and especially loved the Thursday rides with his buddies.  If he wasn’t out riding, he would have been listening to his music and working on his bikes.  He also loved sitting looking at the lake while listening to his favorite country outlaws.
Larry’s most favorite times were grilling and spending time with his daughter’s, son-in-laws, and grandkids.

After his retirement as a truck driver, he enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, going to car shows and swap meets.
Larry will be remembered by many as a funny, loyal, respectful, and caring person.  He was the best dad ever.

He is survived by his mother, Marion White; siblings,  Bev Smith, Cheri White, Mary (Jim) Whiting, Chuck (Sue) White, and Carol Tucker; daughters, Jamie (Gipp) Klein, Angie (Chad) Hazel, and Allison (Mark) Strand; grandchildren, Brandon Kujawa, Josh Crull, Isiah Strand, Maya Crull, Ava Klein, Aubrey Strand, Vaughn Klein, Griffin Klein, and Henry Strand; great grandbabies, Malcolm Browne and Malaya Browne.

There is comfort knowing that he is with his dad, Charles White; special brother-in-laws, Pink Smith, and Geno Tucker; nieces, Diane Nilson and Courtney Bennett; and many close friends of his.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday, November 10th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, 12:30 pm at the funeral home with Son-in-law, Gipp Klein officiating. Burial will follow at Lyon Lake Cemetery.
