LaWanda M. Wine

LaWanda Marie Wine, 92, of Bellevue, passed away on February 5, 2024, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. 

She was born on July 28, 1931, to Lawrence and Gertrude (Hix) Ward in Battle Creek, MI. LaWanda was a teacher in Bellevue before retirement. Her favorite pastime was playing solitaire and she enjoyed fishing.

LaWanda is survived by her loving son, Loren (Jelani) Wine of Bellevue, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Laura Marie Wine; her brother, Lawrence A. Ward; and her sisters, Valeta Coffman, and Charlotte Bryant.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Cremation has taken place, interment in Battle Creek Memorial Park will follow at a later date.
