Laura L. (Merica) Swanson, 72, of Bellevue, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Battle Creek, Michigan.

She was born on September 13, 1949 to Don and Mildred (Weed) Merica in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Laura absolutely loved her grandbabies more than anything else. She was an excellent painter (in all mediums) and gardener. Laura usually had country music playing when you were in her house. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cooking. You never left her house hungry.

Laura is survived by her husband: Ron, her children; Robin Williams of Battle Creek, Michigan, Kristie (Jonah) Modert of Bellevue, Michigan; Lucky Phillips of Battle Creek, Michigan and Troy Johnson of Battle Creek, Michigan, her brother; Wendell Merica of Grand Rapids, Michigan, her grandchildren; Tony, Marcus, Trenton, Jaiden, Cameron and Ashley and her great granddaughters, Allie, Autumn, Khilynn, Nellie Kaye.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Gene Merica, Lyle Merica, Joe Merica and Don Merica, Jr.

A Celebration of Laura's life will take place at a later date.
