Laura Ann (White) Osmun

Laura Ann Osmun, 99, of Marshall died on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Maplewood of Marshall following a long illness.

Ann was born on January 24, 1922 in Syracuse, Indiana to Virgil and Minnie (Plank) White.  She graduated from Garrett High School in 1940.  On April 6, 1946, she married Alton Osmun in Garrett, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on March 31, 2007.

Ann retired from Petoskey School System in the late 1980s after working for several years.  She also worked a short time at Michigan Bell and a few other businesses.  Ann was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Petoskey, and the East Eckford Church.  She was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge.  Ann enjoyed watching NASCAR races, sewing and embroidery. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Ruth Ann Osmun; grandchildren, Beth Ann Osmun and Kristofer Osmun; a great-granddaughter, Jonquil; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Charles White; and a sister-in-law Ruth Banfield.

Family will greet friends from 10-11am on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068 with funeral services celebrating taking place at 11am. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
