June Fay Maybee, 84, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on June 30, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family. 

She was born on October 30, 1939, to Boyd and Elizabeth (Coffee) Clifton in Battle Creek, Michigan. June was a graduate of Tekonsha High School, class of 1957. On September 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Allen Dale Maybee. 

Allen and June raised their family in Marshall and celebrated over 66 years together. June enjoyed being a wife, homemaker, doting on and spending time with her family. God and family were the center of her world.

Working in concert with her husband, she enjoyed “antique and rock hunting”, and had passion for exceptional holiday decorating, landscaping, flowers, and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Their garden was featured on Marshall’s “Welcome to My Garden Tour.”

She volunteered as a tour guide at the Honolulu House and various beautiful historic homes during Marshall’s “Annual Historic Home Tour.” 

She continues to be an inspirational and a guiding light in the lives of family and friends.

June is survived by her husband, Allen; her children, Julie Maybee of Roxboro, NC, Christopher (Nikki) Maybee of Pleasant Ridge, MI, Roger Maybee of Marshall, MI, Jill (Chad) Wager of Battle Creek, MI; her grandchildren Crystal Ellis, Chalise Fransico, Kaitlyn Huissen, Max Maybee, Jena Van Wagner, Alysa Wager, and Carson Wager; her great grandchildren Wren Ellis, Rigsby Fransico, and Remi Fransico; brother, Jerry (Anita) Clifton of Marshall; sister, Jean (Ray) Johns of Battle Creek; nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Boyd and Elizabeth Clifton; as well as brother, Jack and wife, Shirley Clifton.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, 11:30 am at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan, 49068. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm with Pastor Brandon Crawford officiating, and a graveside service will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, 614 Homer Road in Marshall.
