John Jay Osborn

John Jay Osborn, 85, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on Friday, January 20, 2022 at Bronson Battle Creek.

He was born on October 31, 1936 in Providence, Rhode Island. John married Shirley Samson in Marshall, Michigan.

John worked as a Security Guard for many years in the Detroit area. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed watching football with his. John looked forward to reading the daily newspaper.

John is survived by his son; Scott (Melissa Schlyer) E. Osborn of Battle Creek, Michigan; his grandchildren; Heather (Jeremy) Culver of Battle Creek, Michigan; Brandon (Stacie) Osborn of Pennfield Twp., Michigan and Bret Osborn of Battle Creek, Michigan, and his great grandchildren; Jaxon Culver, Jayce Culver; Emma Jo Culver, and Clair Jean Osborn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley D. Samson-Osborn.

A private graveside service will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
