Jerome Peter Ainsworth, 82, of Marshall, passed away on April 21, 2022, in the comfort of home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 11, 1939, to Joseph and Margaret (Schuler) Ainsworth in Niles, MI and graduate of New Troy High School. Jerry worked as an Industrial Engineer for Flow Easy Filters of Ann Arbor. He married Sharon in January 2013 and they lived a beautiful life together in Marshall, Michigan.
Jerry was very active in church even before becoming a pastor, loved to travel, enjoyed history, liked working with his hands. He was very creative. Jerry was a very passionate family man. He was most generous and the kindest person you could ever meet. Jerry was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. He was a terrific husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharon; five daughters, Jodi Nakata, Jill Higgins, Jenifer Ainsworth, Chris Phipps, Dawn Erickson; a sister, Bivian Hellman; son, Jeffery Ainsworth; Thirteen grandchildren, Nathael Dickens, Rachel Smith, Ignacio Paz, Deborah Cunningham, Vanessa Malson, David Paz, James Dickens, Joshua Ainsworth, Jacob Ainsworth, Benjamin Ainsworth, Dylan Phipps, Chad Phipps, Paige Werderman.
Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan, 49068. Per Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM on April 30, 2022, at Network Family Church (formerly known as New Hope Worship Center), 13600 28 Mile Rd, Albion, MI 49224 with, Pastor Bruce officiating and Pastor Steere giving the Eulogy.
