Jeffrey I. Weaver, 53, of Marshall died October 26, 2022. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on March 19, 1969 to Janis Weaver.
Jeff attended Athens and Lakeview Schools and went on to graduate from Marshall High School in 1987. He enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country for 8 years as an Aviation Storekeeper and Shore Patrol Officer aboard the USS Carl Vinson, and he was a Veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
Upon arriving back home after serving his country, he was hired into JW Wood and Associates as a Security Supervisor, where he would meet Amy Veselsky in 1997 during a Supervisor meeting, and he married her on June 19, 1999; together they had two fur babies, Lucy and Ethel.
Jeff moved on when the company was sold to Securitas Security Services. In 2009, Jeff hired in with the Security team at the Lakeview Square Mall, quickly moving up to Assistant Director, and then to Director of Security. Jeff was forced to retire in 2017 due to his declining health.
After retiring, Jeff started a weekly music radio show online to share his love for music. He quickly gained a fan base of hundreds, who tuned into the Weaver’s Weekly Retro Musik Boost Radio Show. He took music requests and interacted with everyone who tuned in, sharing his wide knowledge for the music he played.
Jeff is known as the biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fan and follows all other Pittsburgh sports. Jeff enjoyed his family and friends, Friday night fires in his backyard, and yearly summer trips with Amy to Cedar Point and Harrison, Michigan. Jeff never lost his sense of humor through his war with this disease, and often lifted everyone around him with his protective spirit, even in his bad days.
Jeff is survived by his soulmate, Amy and cat, Ethel, of Marshall; mother-in-law, Marcia (Frank) Horn of Hastings; his brother, James Weaver of Battle Creek; sister-in-law, Joanne Veselsky of New Boston; nieces, Janis Weaver of New York, Jamie Wellington of Homer, and Katie Kimmel of Ypsilanti; nephews, David Crandall of Delaware, and Johnny Crandall of California. He’s also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
