Jeffrey Jay Morris

Jeffrey Jay Morris, age 73, of Tekonsha, MI, passed away at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Jeff was born on December 6, 1948, the son of Jay Junior Morris and Ora May (Farmer) Morris. He was a graduate of Marshall High School, class of 1967. Jeff worked for Faurots Welding for many years, before going on to work for Eaton Manufacturing. He retired from Eaton in 2005. He loved the outdoors, spending time camping, hunting, fishing, and walking trails in Ludington. He was an auto enthusiast, and enjoyed racing, working on race cars, attending semi & tractor pulls, and hot air balloons. He also enjoyed Bill’s Steakhouse, Louies Donuts, Fireball, Bud Light, coleslaw, and bean soup.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Louise (Curren) Morris. Jeff and Carol were united in marriage on February 24, 1968. He leaves to cherish his memory their children, Andy (Teri) Morris, Willie (Melanie) Morris, and Johnny (Shauna) Morris; grandchildren, Logan (Courtney) Morris, Jordan Morris, Gracie Morris, MacKenzee Morris, Richard Schweikert, and Danyl Schweikert; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Levi Morris, Cole Schweikert, Wyatt Schweikert, and Lucas Schweikert; brothers and sisters, Ritchey (Nancy) Morris, Don Morris, Aarron (Catherine) Morris, and Cindy Morris.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jay Junior Morris and Ora May (Farmer) Morris; brother, Paul Morris; and stepmother, Jeanette Blowers.

He will also be dearly missed by his beloved cats, Oreo, Buck, and Max.

Friends may gather with the family from 1 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Following the gathering, a celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, in the funeral home chapel. Jacob Washburn will officiate the service and cremation will follow afterwards.
