Jean P. Gladstone, 90, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Marshall, Michigan.
She was born on July 30, 1932 to Roscoe and Velda (Ewers) Sebring in Marshall, Michigan. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1950.
On August 7, 1953 she married Rolland Jack Gladstone in Angola, Indiana, sadly he passed away on November 22, 2008.
Jean and her husband Jack; along with her brothers Bob and Jack and sisters-in-law Faye and Doris were the co-owners and operators of Tri-Lake Trails Campground in Marshall. She dedicated many years of her life to the campground. Jean enjoyed all the time she spent there, making friends with everyone she met. In her earlier years, she worked at Michigan National Bank and State Farm Insurance Company in Marshall.
Jean attended Lyon Lake United Methodist Church. She loved to be on her 855 John Deere tractor mowing at the campground and her garden tractor at home. Being outdoors was Jean's favorite past time, whether flower gardening, caring for the campground or going on a motorcycle ride. Playing cards, dominos and jig saw puzzles with family were some of the hobbies she loved to share. She will be fondly missed for her cookies and fudge and the countless families and friends she met over the many years at Tri Lake Trails Campground. During the off season, Jean and Rolland wintered in Kissimmee, Florida for many years.
Jean is survived by her son, Tony (Laurie) Gladstone of Marshall, Michigan; her two granddaughters, Miranda Bolton of Marshall, Michigan and Lindsey (Kyle) Hughes of Marshall, Michigan; her two great granddaughters, Natalee Bolton and Hannah Hughes; her two great grandsons, Conner Bolton and Alex Hughes; and her brother, Robert Sebring of Marshall, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Jack Gladstone, her parents, and her brother, Jack Sebring.
Visitation for Jean will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 6, 2023, 11:00 am at the Kempf Family Funeral Home, Marshall Chapel. Burial will follow at Lyon Lake Cemetery, Fredonia Twp., Michigan.
