Helen M. (Lewis) Chamberlain

Helen M. Chamberlain, 90, of Homer died Monday August 2, 2021, at the Villas at Winston Park surround by her family following a long illness.

Helen was born on June 8, 1931, in Jackson to Charles and Cynthia (VanNuys) Lewis. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1949.  On January 9, 1971, she married Lawrence Chamberlain in Angola, Indiana.

Helen worked at several different factories in the surrounding Homer area for many years.  She loved to square dance, playing guitar and sing and play cards.  Helen loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence, children, Cheryl (Nelson) Craft, Terri (Rick) Grover, Charles (Linda) Finch, and Edwin (Dawn) Finch; stepchildren Lawrence (Deb) Chamberlain Jr and Sheryl Moore; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Nickerson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lyle, Jerry, Leonard, Floyd, Leo, infant Charles, Lila, Opal and Lillian.

Family will greet friends from 10am-12pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 303 South Hillsdale Street, Homer MI 49245 with funeral services celebrating her life taking place at 12pm. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
