Harry James Ryan

Harry James Ryan, 89, of Tekonsha, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, with family by his side.

Harry was born in Olivet, Michigan on July 17, 1933, to the late Robert James and Bernice Agnes (Scott) Ryan. He was born and raised as a farmer, having done so for his lifetime.

On February 26, 1956, Harry married the love of his life, Janice, in Marshall, Michigan. They spent 50 wonderful years together before Janice passed away in 2006.

Harry is survived by his children, Donna Elizabeth (Dean) France, Marty (Requel) Ryan, Kelly Jane (Robert) Converse, and Rebekah Hoover; son-in-law, Matt Hoover; twenty grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Earl (Virginia) Ryan, Paul Ryan, and Rose Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Ryan; his parents, Robert James Ryan, and Bernice Agnes Ryan; son, Robert James Ryan; one grandson, Wesley James Cotton; and nine brothers and sisters.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the funeral home. Pastor William Cole will officiate with interment to follow in West Eckford Cemetery.
