Glenn was a 1953 graduate of Portage Central High School. On April 15, 1953, he married Ethel May Halliwill in Lansing, sadly she passed away on April 9, 2014.

During the early 1960’s Glenn worked at Keeler Brass in Grand Rapids and then as a milkman in Grand Rapids as well. He was led to follow Christ and attend and graduate from Baptist Bible College, Grand Rapids in 1965 with his bachelor’s degree in religious education. Glenn was a member of Maple Grove Bible Church and Gideons International Bible Ministry. He made sure the Gideon Bible was available to local church’s and everyone who asked. Glenn served as the Chaplain at the Albion-Marshall camp for many years.

As a child, Glenn and his siblings were known as the 4 Small Frye’s where they musically performed at various Kalamazoo area dance events. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether camping, fishing, going to farm auctions or garage sales. Glenn was always on the lookout for antiques that needed repairs, he would bring them home, fix them and give them to family and friends. Collecting books and writing poetry were some of his favorite hobbies as well. Later in life he could be found relaxing in front of a good old western tv show. Above all else he loved his family.
