Gary E. Mansfield

Gary E. Mansfield, 78, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Borgess Ascension Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was born on January 17, 1944 to Ernest and Maxine (Britten) Mansfield in Charlotte, Michigan.

Jean Swafford and Gary were married July 28, 1963 in Homer, Michigan. Gary worked in skilled trades at Eaton Corporation in Marshall, Michigan for 43 years retiring in 2006. He was a former member of the Marshall Moose. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He loved dogs, especially his little buddy Tipper. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Occasionally, Gary and Jean would take a drive and end up at the casino.

Gary is survived by his loving spouse; Jean, his children;  Robert (Kerrie) Mansfield of Marshall, Michigan, Frederick (Chandra) Mansfield of Marshall, Michigan, Timothy (Nicole) Mansfield of Battle Creek, Michigan and Paula Mansfield of Plymouth, Michigan, his grandchildren; Zachary Mansfield of Battle Creek, Michigan, Alex (Annette) Mansfield of Marshall, Michigan, Jacob Mansfield of Battle Creek, Michigan, Karlie Mansfield of Battle Creek, Michigan and Katie Mansfield of Marshall, Michigan and his sister; Carol Yinger of Homer, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Corey Mansfield and his brother, Craig Mansfield.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068 with a private funeral service to be held at a later date.
