Garrick Christopher Wood

Garrick Christopher Wood, 33, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at home.  
He was born on April 8, 1990 to David Wood and Annmarie (Johnson) Heidenreich in Coldwater, Michigan. After graduating from Harper Creek High School in 2008 he attended Kellogg Community College to further his education. Garrick worked as a Networking /Datacom Inside Sales Representative at Kendall Electric for 3 years.
On October 17, 2020 Garrick married Amber Lewis in Marshall, Michigan. Garrick’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his three children. His children adored him, he would happily dance and sing with them. They couldn’t wait for him to get home from work. He simply was an amazing father. 
Garrick's love of music started in high school when he played the saxophone. He literally listened to all types of music. He was very outgoing and yet had a calming influence which drew people to him. Garrick was a friend to everyone, he was that person who was there to help, make others laugh and to genuinely care. He will be remembered as being a very quick witted, funny, generous to a fault, fun and caring man. Amber always appreciated him for being the great fix it man around the house, they also enjoyed traveling together and spending time with his loved ones. 
He was a member of American Motocross Association. One of his favorite things to do was to ride his dirt bike with family and friends. 
Garrick is survived by his loving wife Amber, his three children, Stella Wood and twin sons. Maverick Wood and Griffin Wood all of Marshall, Michigan; his mother, Annmarie (David) Heidenreich of Marshall, Michigan; his father, David Wood of East Leroy, Michigan; his maternal grandparents, Rosemary (Darrell) Krieg of Burlington, Michigan; his nephew, Bentley Lewis; his niece, Emma Funk; his stepsister and stepbrother, Sara Hendler and Brad Heidenreich both of Marshall, Michigan, his father-in-law, Eric (Debbie) Lewis of Battle Creek, Michigan; his mother-in-law, Barb (Jim) Bennett of Battle Creek, Michigan; his sisters-in-law, Brooke Lewis of Battle Creek, Michigan and Kennedy Lewis of Coldwater, Michigan; his best friends, Josh (Caitlin) Doud of Marshall, Michigan, Luke Heinonen of Battle Creek, Michigan and Justin  Bennett of Marshall, Michigan; his  uncles, Rodney (Denise) Johnson and Andy (Joan) Johnson both of Simpsonville, South Carolina and their children all of Simpsonville, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Winston Wood and his cousin, Derick Smith.     
A Celebration of Garrick's Life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Schuler's Restaurant & Pub, Marshall, Michigan.
Cremation has taken place at the Langeland Family Cremation Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Memorials are suggested to the family and will be used towards an education fund in his children’s names.
