Frederick L. Heidenreich was born on April 14, 1934 in Albion, Michigan, the son of Lawrence J. and Ruth (Laubengayer) Heidenreich. He was called to be with his Heavenly Father on September 10, 2009 at the age of 75 following a lengthy, courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis and Parkinson's disease.Fred graduated from Albion High School in 1952, and continued his studies at Valparaiso University and the University of Michigan. On May 4, 1957, he married Sharon Diver of Marshall. Fred's career spanned 42 years in the pharmaceutical business, representing Merck and Ciba-Geigy (Novartis) and earning numerous prestigious awards. He retired in 1999.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon; two daughters, Julie and John Heitsch, and Karen Heidenreich DeVoney; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Steven and Emily Heitsch; sisters, Katherine Heidenreich and Carolyn Fox; and many dear friends, including his special caregiver, Jeanne Haller.Fred's family will greet guest at Zion Lutheran Church in Marshall, Michigan on Monday, September 14, beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope, 9710 Junction Road, Frankenmuth, Michigan or Zion Lutheran Church, Marshall, Michigan or the radio ministry of St. John's Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Assistance with memorial is available at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home.
