Florence A. (Sachjen) Garriott, 101, of Albion, died on Saturday May 27, 2006 at Tendercare of Marshall.Mrs. Garriott was born on March 12, 1905, in Rock Falls IL, to Carl H. and Ellen (Johnson) Sachjen. On July 10, 1943, she married Harold Garriott in Dixion, IL. He precedes her in death on November 11, 1963.Mrs. Garriott was a home maker. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her animals. She also enjoyed being outdoors, especially time spent in her garden.She is survived by a companion; Ernest Kulikowski, of Albion, two sisters; Isabel Duckham of Marshall and Doris (Dick)Yoder of Cassoplis, a brother; John(Dorothy) Sachjen of Decatur and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Clara Ross, Emily McMurtrie, Lucille Allen, May Fritz, and Irene Hardenbugh, brothers; Carl Schjen Jr., and Harold Sachjen.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00pm-7:00pm, with the family present to receive friends at that time. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday at Oakridge Cemetery with Celebrant Bob Doner officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Calhoun Area Humane Society.
