Evelyn A. Miller

Evelyn A. Miller, age 81, of Marshall died May 29, 2006 at Tendercare of Marshall.Mrs. Miller was born on January 8, 1925 in Marengo Township to Gerald L. and Gladys E. (Reed) Green. She had lived in the Marshall area all of her life and was a 1944 graduate of Marshall High School. Evelyn had worked as a secretary at Brooks Rupture Appliance, Crowell Carton, Starr Commonwealth, and Zion Lutheran Church. She retired in the early 1970''s.On November 11, 1944, she married Carl E. Miller in Marshall. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2005.Evelyn was a very active member of the Marshall First Baptist Church. She sang in the Church''s choir, served as the Church Clerk and taught Sunday school. She also was a member of the Marshall Newcomers Club.She is survived by a son, Kevin Miller of Salt Lake City, UT; granddaughter Sarah Miller-Lindley of Salt Lake City; sister, Carol Kay Glass of Bradenton, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Nowlin.The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Matthew Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Marshall First Baptist Church. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
