Eric Christopher Walters, 52, of Marshall, passed away on April 15, 2024 at his home in Marshall, MI. He was born on June 25, 1971 to Keith E.  and Peggy Ann (Laupp) Walters in Marshall. Eric married Tricia “Trish” L. Paquette; Trish preceded Eric in death on February 18, 2019. At the time of her passing, Eric and Trish had been married for 23 years. 

 

After graduating from Marshall High School in 1990, Eric served in the US Navy as an Aviation Electrician. He was very proud of his service to his country. After Eric got out of the Navy, he and Trish purchased land and they built their home together in Marshall. He worked for Ducan Aviation in the cabinet building department and then as a building instructor for the Calhoun Intermediate School District. Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman; he received a Master Angler Patch from the Michigan DNR. Him and Trish liked to walleye fish on the St. Claire River.  

 

Eric is survived by his fur kids, Sasha and Andy; grandmother, Beatrice (Watson) Walters and several aunts, uncles, cousins.  

 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

 

Eric’s cremated remains will be interred in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
