Elizabeth "Liz" DiBiaggio, 90, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Comfort Care in Marshall, Michigan, surrounded by her devoted family.
Born on July 29, 1933 in San Daniele del Friuli, Italy, she was the daughter of Francesco and Maria (Miccoli) Massarino. On June 17, 1953 she married Americo "Mark" DiBiaggio in B.V. di Castelmonte, Italy, sadly he preceded her in death on December 26, 2015.
Liz was an active member of the Fogolar Furlan Club in Fredonia Township, and a faithful attendee of St. Mary Catholic Parish Church in Marshall, where she took joy in assisting with funeral luncheons. Renowned for her sewing skills honed since childhood in Italy, Liz was also a talented cook, particularly skilled in preparing Italian dishes. Gardening and birdwatching brought her immense solace, but her deepest love was reserved for her family, her face lighting up with every visit.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (Robert deceased) Garner of St. Louis, Missouri; Randy (Carol) DiBiaggio of Battle Creek, Michigan; and David (Kim) DiBiaggio of West Chester, Pennsylvania; Liz also leaves behind her five grandchildren: Kathleen (Joseph) Schlafly of St. Louis, Missouri; Jacquelyn (Tyler) Moss of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Jessica (Drew) DiBiaggio of Wilmington, North Carolina; Dominic (Emily) DiBiaggio of Midland, Texas; and Anthony DiBiaggio of Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as her three great grandchildren, James Schlafly, Emma Schlafly, Addison Smith and Cooper Moss.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Americo "Mark" DiBiaggio, her brothers Sergio Massarino, Ezio Massarino and Mario Massarino.
Visitation for Liz will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068 with a Vigil at 7:00 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Parish Church in Marshall, Michigan, officiated by Reverend Father Craig J. Lusk.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
