Eldonna June Love, 89 of Bellevue, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021, at The Flower House Assisted Living Home in Nashville, Michigan. She was born on February 10, 1932, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Harold and June (Bunn) Willis.
Eldonna was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Michigan State College (MSU). She married Jack Love on October 25, 1952. He sadly passed away on June 18, 2008.
Eldonna worked for Security National Bank and Comerica Bank for 32 years, starting as a teller and later becoming a branch manager. She retired on February 21, 1996. Throughout her married life, she could be found working on the farm with her husband.
Eldonna loved to travel with her husband, Jack, throughout the United States and in later years with her dear friend, Dorothy Jones. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and reading. Eldonna will be greatly missed by her family and friends and especially missed will be her "special punch".
Eldonna is survived by her daughter; Rosemary (Denny) Johnson of Battle Creek, Michigan, her grandchildren; Nicole (Scott) Roberts of Bellevue, Michigan, Clint (Hillary) Malinowski of Bellevue, Michigan, Alaina (Mike) Pfiester of Ludowici, Georgia, Matt (Brittany) Johnson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Eric (Abby) Johnson of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jerry Love.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 205 N. Elizabeth St., Bellevue, Michigan 49021.
Funeral services for Eldonna will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Baseline United Methodist Church, 9617 Baseline Road, Battle Creek, Michigan, with Pastor Herb Bishop officiating. A visitation will start at 12 Noon at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Bell Cemetery, Bellevue, Michigan.
