DOUGLAS C. BLOWERS Douglas C. Blowers, age 40, of Fredonia Township, died on Friday ,April 21, 2006 in Fredonia Township at Old 27 South and F Drive South as the result of a car-motorcycle accident. Doug was born Jan. 8, 1966 in Marshall to William E. Blowers and Twila D. (Lewis) Blowers. He has lived here all of his life, attending Marshall schools. He was employed by Jeff and Sons Excavating, and had worked at South Central Building Supply, both in Marshall. Doug was married to Charese A. Smith on July 7, 1996. The couple were parents to Tyler J. and Andrew C. Blowers. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2002. He was a past member of Marshall Moose Lodge #676. Doug enjoyed a hard day''s work. He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, who always looked forward to a ride. He was a NASCAR fan, whose favorite driver was Dale Ernhardt Jr. .His cat, "Kitty-Dog" was a faithful pet, responding to Doug''s side with a snap of his fingers. Doug is survived by his sons, Tyler J. and Andrew C. Blowers both of Marshall; his mother and step-father, Twila and Richard Simpson of Pellston; Step-mother, Pat Burch of Marshall; his brother, Thomas W. (Cydney Mundey) Blowers of Tekonsha; his half brother Aaron J. (Angela) Blowers of Kendallville, IN; his step-brothers, Gary W. (Amy)Chitwood of Marshall, Eugene L. Simpson of Marshall, and Chad C. Pyne of Florida; 3 step-sisters Tammy Lautzenheiser and Lisa L. Simpson both of Marshall, and April A. Robinson of Bellevue; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Blowers in 2001. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Monday 2PM-8PM, where family will be present to greet friends and share memories from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. Funeral services to celebrate and remember his life will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Doner officiating. Interment to follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Thomas W. Blowers. Assistance with memorials is available at Kempf Funeral Home.
