DOROTHY LaVERNE (BARRITT) SCULTHORPDorothy LaVerne Sculthorp, age 70, of Marshall died Friday, June 9, 2006 at Battle Creek Health Systems.Mrs. Sculthorp was born on August 17, 1935 in Fulton, Kentucky to Floyd Thomas and Lucy "Bobbie" (Robinson) Perry. She has been a resident of Marshall since 1972, moving here from Ravenna, Michigan. At the time of her death, she was employed as a home health care provider, where she was often requested by families to care for their loved ones.She was an active member of the local Eagles Lodge and the Marshall Women of the Moose, where at one time she held the office of President.She is survived by three children, Kurt (Sally) Barritt of Conklin, Michigan, Paula (Rob) Barritt-Kipker of Tallahassee, FL and Christina Barritt of Marshall. She will be missed by her ten grandchildren and special friend Jack Dingledine of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by husbands, Max Barritt (1980) and Linton Sculthorp (1985).Friends may call at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 with the family receiving friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00. A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 14 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery.
