Dorothy May Laupp

Dorothy May Laupp, age 77, of Union City died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at her home.Mrs. Laupp was born on July 16, 1928 in Tekonsha, Michigan to Roy and Lucile (Brown) Langridge. She had been a life long resident of this area. On October 8, 1946, she married Robert Wendell Laupp in Marengo Township. She had been employed as a Nurses Aide at the Morgan Medical Care Facility, Oaklawn Hospital and Provincial House.Dorothy was an exceptional homemaker. Her family describes her as an enthusiastic cleaner and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed working in her garden and canning the many vegetables that she would grow. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.She is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, David (Maureen) Laupp of Phoenix, AZ and Tommy Joe (Vicki) Laupp of Marengo; daughters, Wendy (John) Deyoe of Albion and Peggy (Keith) Walters of Marshall; 8 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and sister, Betty (James) Black of Kalamazoo. She is preceded in death by brothers, Junior Langridge, Donald Langridge, William Langridge and Charles Langridge; and grandson, Todd Smith.Friends may call at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00. A funeral service to remember and celebrate her life will be held 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2006 at the funeral home.
