Donna M. (Gifford) Albertson

Donna Mae (Gifford) Albertson, age 89, of Litchfield, MI, went to be with her Lord on April 20, 2022, from her home after a short illness. She was born on Sept. 17, 1932, in Hoopeston, IL, to Cloyd and Alberta (Mathews) Gifford. When she was 9 years old the family moved to Indiana where she grew up and eventually met the love of her life, Clyde Albertson who she married on June 23, 1951. Donna was a wife, mother and homemaker who took care of her husband and five children while serving alongside Clyde as they pastored churches throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan for many years. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; son, Jeffery Albertson; sister, Bonita Cummins, and granddaughter, Dawn Howard. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Albertson of Litchfield, MI; sons, Clay (Becky) Albertson of Massillon, OH, Earl (Cindy) Albertson of Massillon, OH, and Kevin (Carol) Albertson of Nampa, ID; grandchildren, Joel Howard, Jared (Heather) Albertson, Heather (Bryan) Garrett, Nathan Albertson, Carrie (Philip) Zupon, and Justin (Natalie) Albertson; great grandchildren, Makayla, Jessica, Avery and Rhylie Howard, Henry Albertson, Ellie Albertson and, a great granddaughter on the way; also sister, Maxine McSpadden; brothers, Darrell Gifford and Wayne Gifford; as well as nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, flowers, and plants, reading and word search puzzles. Donna attended Litchfield First Baptist Church for many years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 303 S. Hillsdale Street, Homer, MI, 49245 where visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, with Pastor Brent Stille officiating. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Homer, MI, 49245.
