Dennis Michael Bukoski, 66, of Tekonsha, passed away at his home on September 18, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 16, 1955, to William and Arlene (Russell) Bukoski in Bad Axe, MI. He served his country in the United States Army from 1972-1973. He worked as a manager for Auto Zone in North Carolina and Michigan. He then worked as a technician for Burlington Industries in Burlington, North Carolina. He was a state licensed contractor and owned D&M Construction. He concluded his working career as maintenance supervisor for Calhoun County, retiring on May 1, 2021. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshall. Dennis loved sports and enjoyed playing softball. He also coached high school and recreation softball for his daughters, and was an avid spectator. He was an avid Detroit Lions & Detroit Tigers Fan and enjoyed fishing and watching and attending NASCAR races at MIS in Brooklyn, MI.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Suzanne (Johnson) Bukoski. They were united in Marriage on August 17, 1974. He leaves to cherish his memory two Daughters, Melissa (Joseph) Beasley, Crystal (Justin) Gilliam; grandchildren, Jonathon (Audra) Jennings, Cord (Taylor) Jennings, Kelsey (Loren) Clouse, Lacey Jennings, Caleb Gilliam, Colton Gilliam; great-grandchildren, Ashten, Landen, Azlynn, Mila, and Koen; two brothers and one sister, Richard (Linda) Bukoski, Philip (Diana) Bukoski, and Debra Bukoski; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Bukoski and Arlene Mary Bukoski; brothers, Ernest, David, Douglas, and Russell Bukoski; and one sister, Denise Kinney.
Friends may visit with the family from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Fr. Criag Lusk officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by the Army, will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
