David Ratliff, age 75, of Marshall died at Alamo Cove nursing and Rehab Center in Kalamazoo Michigan on March 13, 2024, with his loving children by his side. Mr. Ratliff was born on April 3, 1948, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Sanford and Sadie (Slusher) Ratliff. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. David worked at Harvard Industries of Albion for 30 years, retiring in 1996 after an injury. David married the love of his life, Pamela (Coats) Ratliff on February 5, 1972. David loved hunting, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, and especially being with his grandchildren. David will be remembered for his infectious smile, his great “Gift of Gab”, and his huge heart.

He is survived by his son, David Ratliff, his daughter, Tami (Rick) LeMay, and son, Mathew (Cathren) Ratliff. Also, grandchildren, Cullen Hickox, Lauren Milne, Mathew Ratliff II, Vivika Ratliff, Damien Ratliff, and Braylen Ratliff; his sisters, NormaJean (Eugene) Collins, Magdalene Petroff, Jody (Virgil) Owens, Melba Jackson; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his loving wife; parents; brother, Frank Ratliff; and sister Dorothy (Rodger) Quada. 

Per David’s request, arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Services will be announced in the coming weeks. If desired, memorial contributions are suggested to the family for assistance with funeral expenses, please call the funeral home for assistance.
