David M. "Cookie" Fields Jr., 49, of Albion, died on Wednesday May 10, 2006, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.David was born on December 5, 1956 in Marshall to David M. and Patricia J. (Amsler) Fields Sr. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1975. On October 6, 2000, he married Louana Noneman in Battle Creek. She survives.David was a tire serviceman for over 20 years at Dopp''s Tire Shop in Marshall, prior to that he worked at the Te-Khi Travel Plaza. He loved the outdoors, fishing and working in the yard. David was a avid Star Trek fan and enjoyed anything that dealt with science fiction, he also enjoyed Christmas, because of all of the lights. He enjoyed traveling; his favorite trips were to the South Haven beach and Disney World. David was a very kind and caring man he will be remembered as a man who would help anyone anytime they needed help.He is survived by his wife Louana of Albion, five daughters; Heather Fields, of Marengo, Brittany Fields of Kalamazoo, Heidi Williams of Ceresco, and Caitlin Noneman of Albion, Jade Thompson of Springport, a son Heath Fields of Iron Mountain, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his father David Fields Sr., two sisters; Betty Donavan, and Becky Fields, three brothers; Rex, James , and Dennis Fields. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00pm-6:00pm with family present at that time. Funeral services will take place at 11:00am on Friday at the Funeral Home with Celebrant Bob Doner officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
