Connie Zimmerman

Connie L. Zimmerman, 79, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away at her home.

Connie was a home maker, day care provider, and a clerk at Meijer for 30 years. She enjoyed growing her own vegetables; Mickey Mouse and most things Disney; volunteering at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital; meeting her friends for lunch; going to Willard Library and getting lost in books; lounging in her hammock; bowling; her cats; and avoiding housework.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Laura (Mark) Bollman and Kristine (Nick Burnard) Zimmerman; her sweetheart Ray Szybowicz; sister Nancy Van Houten; and cousin Carmen Frazier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Annie Van Houten; sister Diane Peck; and nieces Anne James and Jodi Douglas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite organization that helps animals.
