Clifford H. Weakley, 89, of Battle Creek, died on Sunday May 7, 2006, at Tendercare of Battle Creek.Mr. Weakley was born on March 13, 1917, in Marshall to Ernest and Lavada (Scott) Weakley. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1936. Mr. Weakley served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1946. On July 3, 1942 he married the former Kathryn Klingaman in Bryan, Ohio. She survives him after 63 years of marriage.Mr. Weakley was a tool and dye maker for the Eaton Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1974. After his retirement, he took care of the lawns for Lakewood Inn and A.C. Baker. Mr. Weakley was a life member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676 and the Marshall Claude E. Hale V.F.W post #4073. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife Kathryn, three sons; Dennis (Connie) Weakley of Battle Creek, David (Johnnie) Weakley, and Donald Weakly all of Marshall, four grandchildren Christopher Weakley, Tony Weakley, Gabriealle Weakley, and Clinton Weakley, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Patricia Binnette and a brother Joseph William Weakley both of Battle Creek, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven siblings.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00am-9:00pm with family present from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will take place at 11:00am on Thursday at the Funeral Home with Celebrant Bob Doner officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
