Clifford Glenn Taylor

Clifford Glenn Taylor, 86, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was born on June 22, 1937 to Howard and Bernadine (Peck) Taylor in Marshall, Michigan.

On February 14, 1976 he married Marilyn Osgood in Wakeshma Twp., Michigan. Clifford graduated from Marshall High School in 1955 and went on to graduate from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Education. He taught industrial arts, history, driver’s education, and adult education in area schools, including Gull Lake, Parchment, and Climax-Scotts for the next 53 years. Clifford was a highly skilled wood and metal worker. He was passionate about his profession and sharing his knowledge with students.  He was widely loved and respected by his students. Cliff enjoyed woodworking projects in his shop at home building things such as intricate toys and beautiful furniture.  Antique cars and traveling were also some of his interests. Throughout his life he traveled the U.S. and abroad with one of his favorite places being the Hawaiian Islands.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Marilyn, his sons, Mark (Sandy) Taylor of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Bradley Taylor of Battle Creek, Michigan and Chad Taylor of Battle Creek, Michigan; his stepson, John E. Osgood of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his sister, Sandra Nowicki of Battle Creek, Michigan and his two grandsons, Vaughn Taylor of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Oliver Taylor of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Clifford's life will take place at a later date.
