Cindy Louise Miller, 64, passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital on November 4, 2023, after enduring many years of physical challenges. Cindy was born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines on January 28, 1959, to Don and Jane Marengo. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1977 and continued her education at Kellogg Community College.

She married Bruce Miller on September 23, 1978, and they moved around Michigan then landed in Florida with his job at Jacobson’s. Cindy worked for the Veterans Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, and retired from the Hart, Dole, Inouye Federal Center in 2011 after more than 30 years of service to her country. She was a devoted patriot.

Cindy was a giving person who supported her friends in whatever way she could. She was known for handing out plates full of homemade Christmas cookies to friends and neighbors. She loved to hunt for antiques and loved all animals, especially cats and was an avid Michigan State Spartans fan. In 2009, her friend Kathy Perry donated a kidney to Cindy.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Bruce; her beloved cat, Izzy; mother, Jane Marengo; brothers, Tim (Annette) and Steve (Cheryl); sister, Becky Hamilton; and Aunt Pat Bennett. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, including special cousin, Jillian Bennett, and many devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Marengo and several aunts and uncles.

Per Cindy’s wishes cremation has taken place through Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068, and there will be no services at this time. A private graveside service will take place at Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Erin's Angels Rescue, 498 Ridge Road, Quincy, MI 49082.
