Christina "Chris" Victoria Weiss, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.  
She was born on December 27, 1952 to Milan and Elsie "Mema" (Lick) Lonchar in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.
Coming from a long line of family painter’s, Chris followed in their footsteps and became the first woman in Battle Creek to join the Painter's Union. She had painted many homes and businesses in the Battle Creek area. Upon her marriage to Terry Weiss, they became owners of the Idle Hour Tavern in Battle Creek Michigan. After moving to Gainesville, Florida in 1993, they opened a Mancino's Restaurant and operated there for 15 years. They hosted many events for the Florida Gator sports teams during their years of owning Mancino’s. Chris was a very giving and gracious person. She loved to be around and talk with people, always making someone feel welcome. Terry and herself enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean. Chris looked forward to her deep sea fishing trips with her brother, Tiny. 
Chris is survived by her two daughters, Mary (Brian) Wilson of Potterville, Michigan and Victoria Michelle (Nathanial) Fairrow of Gainesville, Florida; her five grandchildren, Christopher (Rachel) Talbott of Pennfield Twp., Michigan, Bradey Wilson of Potterville, Michigan, Viktoria Wilson of Potterville, Michigan, Nathanial Fairrow of Gainesville, Florida and Joshua Fairrow of Gainesville, Florida; her two great grandchildren, Theodore Talbott and Thatcher Talbott; her two brothers, Milan (Lindee) Lonchar, Jr. of Conley, Georgia and Paul Lonchar of Battle Creek, Michigan. Chris is also survived by her first husband Theodore Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan. The family would like to especially thank her lifelong friend David Newton, and her special friends Schuyler and Mika Mathis for their love and care during Chris’s illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Larry Lonchar and John Lonchar.
A private Celebration of Chris's life will be held at a later date.
