Charlotte A. Pierce, 88, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on June 17, 2023, at Heritage Assisted Living in Battle Creek.
Charlotte was born in Marshall, Michigan on June 3, 1935, to the late George and Ethel (Scherer) Collins. She graduated from Marshall High School. She was married to Marion Arnold Pierce Jr. on September 4, 1953. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed taking care of her home and her family. Prior to having children and raising her family, she worked for the Calhoun County Circuit Court. She was a member of Pennfield Presbyterian Church. Charlotte enjoyed volunteering with the Food Bank of South-Central Michigan. When her children were young, she was a Cub Scout leader & Blue Bird leader. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, bird watching, traveling and camping.
Charlotte is survived by children, Marcha Garn, George (Nancy) Pierce, and Marc (Mary) Pierce; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Dion) Vrooman, Heather Brauer, Richard (Angie) Brauer, David Brauer, Stephanie (David) Decowski, Jeremy (Courtney) Pierce, Kylie Adkins, and Shannon Pierce; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and her paternal cousin, Jeffrey (Barbara) Roe. She also leaves behind many loving friends, and new friends and caregivers from Heritage Assisted Living. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Arnold Pierce Jr.; her parents, George and Ethel Collins; and her daughter, Kathryn Brauer; and her paternal cousin, Brian Roe.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 2, 2023, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023. Pastor Jeffrey Roe will officiate the service and interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall. After the service at the cemetery, friends are invited to join the family for a reception in the reception hall at the funeral home.
