Charles Kenneth Lashley, age 73, lifetime resident of Bellevue, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
He was born on September 20, 1949, the son of the late Charles S. Lashley and Glenda Lankford Lashley.
He worked at Clark Equipment. He then worked for Cheney Limestone as a welder and heavy equipment operator, retiring after 29 years of service. He also drove bus for the Bellevue school system. He enjoyed collecting hats and flashlights. He loved to play cards and ride motorcycles. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing jokes on people. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Eckenrod Lashley; four children, Brenda Lashley Lewis, Charles “JR” (Debra) Lashley, Timothy (Linda) Lashley, and Michael (Virginia) Lashley; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carole, Sandy, and Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Lashley, and a daughter, Constance Lashley.
Friends may visit with the family from 12 – 1 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 205 N Elizabeth St, Bellevue, MI 49021. Following the visitation at the funeral home, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday. Interment in Assyria Township Cemetery will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Harmony Hospice.
