Charlene M. (Rocho) Moor

Charlene M. (Rocho) Moor, 74, of Ceresco, died on Tuesday October 31, 2006 at her home.Mrs. Moor was born on March 11, 1932 in Ceresco to Ralph and Audrey (Longenecker) Rocho. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1950. On September 9, 1950 she married George Moor at Ceresco Baptist Church. He survives.Mrs. Moor worked for Barker Manufacturing for 29 years retiring in 1998. She was a faithful member of Ceresco Baptist Church her entire life. She served as a deacon in the church for many years. She also belonged to the work and study group, worked as a Sunday school teacher and also sang in the choir. Mrs. Moor was also a 4-H leader for the Harper Creek Jr. Farmers for many years. She taught young members how to bake. She enjoyed baking especially pies, cakes and popcorn balls. She would bake several cakes and pies for any type of family get together or church function. Mrs. Moor enjoyed spending time with her family, and cooking for her whole family on Sunday afternoons. She will be remembered as mother to everyone and willing to help out anybody.She is survived by her husband George of Ceresco, four daughters; Diana (Robin) Kidder of Albion, Dorene McJunkin of Battle Creek, Denise (Tony) Green of Ceresco, Darla (Randy) Thorpe of Battle Creek, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Norman (Shirley) Rocho of Battle Creek, sister-in-law Clara Rocho of Ceresco, and a brother-in-law Ed Nuding of Ceresco and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jacqueline Nuding, and a brother Richard Rocho.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Friday from 2pm-8pm with family present from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Services celebrating her life will take place at 11am on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Schlee officiating. Interment will follow at Ceresco Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ceresco Baptist Church. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
