Carole Mae (Collmenter) Wirebaugh

Carole Mae Wirebaugh,82, of Fredonia Township, died on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Bronson Hospital Kalamazoo following a short illness.

Carole was born on March 5, 1939, in Albion to Harold and Georgia (Thurow) Collmenter. She graduated from Albion High School in 1959, and she would go on and graduate from Jackson Business College in 1959. On July 11, 1959, she married Philip F. Wirebaugh, in Albion. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2011.

Carole was a homemaker staying home to raise her family. From she worked as a teller at Michigan National Bank and Chemical Bank, and secretary for Bobbi’s Dance Studio.. Carole was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star 124 of Albion, and Beta OMTA Chapter in Jackson. She enjoyed puzzles and reading. Carole loved spending time with her family especially time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Teresa Whitesel and Tina (Thomas) Lyzenga, grandchildren Melanie (Grady) Hilge and Robin Whitesel; step-grandchildren Thomas Lyzenga, Brian (Ashely) Lyzenga, and Stacey (Justin) Lorimer; step-great-grandchildren, Brimley, Jase, Evan Lyzenga and Evie Lorimer. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Family will greet friends from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US 27 N Marshall MI 49068. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 12pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068. Interment will follow at Albion Memorial Gardens.
