Billy "Bill" Lee Purucker, 79, of Marshall, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 27, 2023.
He was born on October 5, 1944 to Frank and Florence (Stuart) Purucker in Albion, MI.
On June 18, 1966, Bill married Marcelaine "Marcie" Desy in Marshall, MI. Bill worked as a machinist at Ronan & Kunzl in Marshall for 25 years until their closing. He then went to work for VL Rampe Industries in Marshall as a machinist. Bill finished his career as a machinist at Douglas Corporation in Tekonsha, retiring in 2007.
Bill is well known in the Marshall area for owning Bill Purucker Signs. He made hand painted and original vinyl signs for many businesses in the Marshall community and the surrounding areas throughout his life.
Bill had a lifelong passion for golf, and especially loved to play at The Medalist in Marshall. He also had an extensive collection of Lionel trains and record albums, Elvis Presley being his favorite artist.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marcie; his daughters, Kristie (Drew) Stafford of Marshall, MI and Leanne Purucker of Marshall, MI; his grandchildren, Kassie Miller of Battle Creek, MI, Andrea Stafford (Michael Sexton) of Battle Creek, MI, Garrett Miller of Marshall, MI and Paige Miller of Marshall, MI; his great grandchildren, Hailey Anglemyre and Connor Miller; his siblings, Sharon (Bill) Conant of Fremont, MI, Sandi (Jim) Howell of Mesa, AZ, Deb (Gary) Guiles of Mason, MI, Judy Finley of Queens Creek, AZ, Francie Purucker-Woods of Queens Creek, AZ and Darlene (Dave) Niethamer of Woodland, MI. Bill is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Warren "Wimp" Purucker.
Visitation for Bill will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, MI 49068 with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Devon Shephard officiating.
Burial will take place at Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall, MI.
