Beverly Joan (Hughes) Williams

Beverly J. Williams, 84, of Marshall died on Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family following a short illness.
Beverly was born on February 8, 1937 in Emmett Township to Warren and Velma (Bond) Hughes. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1955. On October 16, 1956 she married Charles O. Williams in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2012.
Beverly retired in 1987 from Michigan Bell Telephone Company after working 31 years. She was a member of the Convis Union United Methodist Church, Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the Ham Amateur Radio Society with call sign KA8CXS. Beverly enjoyed working in her yard and being outdoors. She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Paul Locke; grandchildren Jennifer Dye and Brian Dadow; great-grandchildren Riley and Logan Dye; and her sister Barbara (Bruce) Welcher. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles.
Visitation will take place from 10am-12pm on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068 with funeral services taking place at 12pm. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1490 East Michigan Avenue Battle Creek MI 49014.
