Beverly Jean (Wolfe) Wilkerson

Beverly Jean Wilkerson, age 85, of Battle Creek died Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born on November 2, 1937 in Albion, Michigan to Everette and Elsie (Nicewander) Wolfe.  She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a graduate of Albion Washington Gardner High School, class of 1956.  Beverly had been employed for many years at the old Five & Dime Store in downtown Marshall.  Other employment included the Rite Aid Drug Store and Target Department Store in Battle Creek.

In 1956, she married Robert Wilkerson.  He preceded her in death in 2018.

Beverly was very creative and enjoyed sewing and making quilts which she lovingly shared with her family.

She is survived by a sister, Carol Kidder of Marshall and several nieces.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Helberg and Roxena Waidelich and a brother, Everette Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Kempf Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 723 US HWY 27 N, Marshall.  A funeral Service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the funeral home with Jacob Washburn officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyon Lake Cemetery.
