Beulah Leone (Snyder) O'Leary

Beulah Leone O'Leary, age 95, of Marshall, passed away on December 23, 2022.

She was born on September 30, 1927, to Charles and Marion (Hale) Snyder in Orleans, MI. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1944. She was united in marriage with Charles O’Leary on November 12, 1946. She worked alongside her husband for D&D Soft Water in Marshall. She was a member of Marshall United Methodist Church for sixty years and was actively involved in its Women’s Group. She served on the Marshall Election Board for over thirty years. When her daughters were young, she served as a Camp Fire Girls Leader. She enjoyed time with family at Higgins Lake. She enjoyed sewing and canning different foods. She liked to attend Estate Sales and auctions, and refinishing furniture.

Beulah is survived by her children, Alan (Linda) O'Leary, Diane (Russ) Gullett, Jill (Stan) Bennett, Corby (Diana) O'Leary; six grandchildren, Shaun (Tonya) O'Leary, Sara (Steve) Conine, Justin (Jessika) Gullett, Manda Bennett, Meagan Bennett, Myra (Paul) Filice; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Marie DeLano and Jerry (Bev) Snyder; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles O’Leary; parents, Charles and Marion Snyder; brothers, Wayne Snyder and Charles “Larry” Snyder; sisters, Donna Morse and Lou Anne Brewer; and grandchildren, Ben Zuehlke, Shelley Gullett, and Ryan Gullett.

Friends may gather with the family from 12 - 1 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.. Private interment will take place in Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials contributions may be given in Beulah’s name to the Marshall Fire Department.
