Bettie C. (Perkins) Passmore

Bettie C. Passmore, 76, of Albion, Michigan passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 20, 1945 to Arnel and Bernice (Lykins) Perkins in Ezel, Kentucky. On November 9, 1990 she married George Passmore in Marshall, Michigan.

Bettie had owned and operated Shellenberger & Sons Trucking-Marshall, Michigan for many years. After retiring from ownership of the trucking company, she became a manager for several area restaurants over the years.

Bettie loved going to the casino, playing Bingo, going to garage sales, playing card games, traveling and making crafts. She enjoyed making candy wreaths to give away. Bettie will be fondly remembered as a very independent and hard-working woman.

Bettie is survived by her loving spouse; George, her children; Fred (Betty) Perkins of Olivet, Michigan and Steve Shellenberger of Marshall, Michigan, her grandchildren; Evan  Perkins of Olivet, Michigan, Jesse (Arren) Perkins of Olivet, Michigan, Tyler Shellenberger of Marshall, Michigan, Codey Shellenberger of Marshall, Michigan, Julia  Perkins of Olivet, Michigan, Brooke Shellenberger of Marshall, Michigan, her great grandchildren; Alex Perkins, Valerie Perkins, and Olivia Shellenberger, her siblings; Denzel Perkins of Battle Creek, Michigan, James(Cathy) Perkins of Homer, Michigan, Phil Perkins of Battle Creek, Michigan and Donna (Toney) Wireman of W. Liberty, Kentucky. She is also survived by 5 step children, many step grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services for Bettie will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
