Bernadette Gordier

Bernadette "Bernie" Gordier, 74, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on January 21, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Bernie was born on May 14, 1946 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Stanley and Helen (Klavinski) Piatkowski.
Bernie was a longtime Administrative Assistant to the Principal at Battle Creek Central High School, having been employed by the Battle Creek Public School System for over 50 years.
Bernie loved to bake, cook, sew, painting with oil and acrylics and crafting. She and her husband Tom (Mike) enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and looking into the local history of places they visited. In her spare time, Bernie would watch soap operas, QVC and HSN.
Bernie is survived by her husband Thomas Michael Gordier of Battle Creek, Michigan and her siblings; Catherine "Cathey" (Walter) Smith of Sevierville, Tennessee and Michael Cave of Sevierville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Bernie will take place on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 2838 Capital Ave. SW, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015 with the Rosary at 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Great Oak Catholic Church Bellevue, Michigan with Fr. Robert Johansen officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
