Audrey A. Adkins

Audrey Ann Adkins, 72, of Ceresco, passed away at home on December 26, 2023. She was born on July 5, 1951, to Clarence and Arlene (Bebee) Hanson in Bay City, Michigan. Audrey was a graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1969 and worked as a Volunteer Service Coordinator for Battle Creek Health Systems, now Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, retiring in 2017. Audrey was a veracious reader, she truly loved adventures of all kinds, and enjoyed many friends. But above all else, her family was her most valued treasure.

Audrey is survived by her three daughters, Wendi R. (Buddy) Damm and their children Ella and Riley of Akron, OH, Jennifer M. (Dustin) Dornton and their children Alayna and Abby of Marshall, MI, and Robyn D. (Denny) Gerber and their children Andee, James, and Joshua of Battle Creek, MI; brother, Steve (Marcia) Hanson of Charlotte, MI; brother-in-law, Louis Grochoske of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband who was the love of her life, Dare Wm Mort, III in 2003; her father, Clarence Hanson in 2005, and sister, Diane Grochoske earlier in 2023.

Private services have been provided by Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, Michigan 49017 and has been laid to rest with husband, Dare at Battle Creek Memorial Park.
