Alice Capitola Vosburg, 92, of Marshall, passed away on December 17, 2023 at the Comfort Care of Marshall. She was born on November 18, 1931 to Vere and Olive (Pierce) Robinson in Vermontville, MI. Alice married Kenneth Vosburg and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2002. Alice worked for Kellogg Cereal Company for 10 years in quality control and Kingsley Company for 11 years as an office manager.

 

Alice enjoyed traveling, reading and doing many different crafts. She enjoyed fishing and cooking, especially for her family. Alice was always helpful with her family and friends, and she would sometimes buy meals for anyone who looked like they might need some help. She enjoyed playing cards and different games. She loved her crab legs and chocolate. She also loved her country music and going dancing. Alice and Ken wintered in Arizona from 1998 – 2020, in 2020, she resided there full time. Alice was very independent and self-sufficient right up until a year ago, she was the matriarch of her family.    

 

Alice is survived by her loving daughter, Karen (Steve) Harrison of Marshall; stepdaughter, Susan (David) Hendon of Athens; stepsons, Gary (Judy) Vosburg of Universal City, TX, Dennis (Cheryl) Vosburg of Marshall; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by children, James Kuykendall and Marlena Schipae; grandchildren, Tonia Vosburg, Jimmy Kuykendall and Tim Harrison; sisters, Margaret Reed, Marjorie Scraperkotter and Jean Endsley.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at Kempf Family Funeral Marshall Chapel, Marshall, Michigan.

 

Memorials are suggested to the Fountain Clinic of Marshall.
