Alice Irene (Geisen) Amsler

Alice Irene Amsler, 90, of Coldwater, formerly of Marshall, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Masonville Place in Coldwater.

She was born on April 11, 1932 to William and Myrtle (Hubbard) Geisen in Sheridan Township, Michigan. On January 23, 1954 she married Vernon Amsler in Albion. Sadly he passed away on June 9, 2004.

Alice graduated from Albion High School in 1950. and then enrolled at Wright Beauty Academy in Battle Creek graduating as a Beautician in 1952. She owned and operated her beauty shop out of her house and also did hair at the Marshall House for over 30 years, retiring in 2004.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Coldwater. Alice was always the caregiver to her family and others. Every year she along with her grandson Chris would set out to make sure the family gravesites were cleaned and decorated.

Alice is survived by her loving daughters; Janet "Jan" Nageldinger of Quincy, Michigan and Diane Amsler of S. Jordan, Utah, her grandson; Christopher (Ann) Stevens of Coldwater, Michigan, her great grandchildren, Collin, Brooke, Luke and Blake, and her sister; Doris Semon of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers; Donald Geisen, Joe Geisen, and Richard Geisen.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068 with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Bishop Tim Miller officiating. Burial will take place in the West Eckford Cemetery.
