India Evelyn McClay, age 98, of Marshall died peacefully in her sleep May 15th, 2016.She was born December 18th, 1917 in St. Landry Parish, LA to James and Ethel (Shannon) Lucas. On March 7th, 1942, she married John S. "Jack" McClay in Battle Creek, Michigan.She is survived by daughters, Susan McClay of Sylvania, OH, Sally (Bill) Kinney of Marshall; grandchildren, Steven (Shaunna) Kinney of Kalamazoo, and Katie (Frank) Blackmun of Augusta; great grandchildren, Kara Kinney, Jack Blackmun and step great grandchildren, Jena and Emily Courtier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (1976), and brothers, James Jr. and Patrick Lucas.A private service has been held for the family with Reverend Anne Schnaare officiating . Arrangements are by the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Services, Marshall Chapel.Memorials contributions may be made to the Fountain Clinic in Marshall, MI or The Trinity Episcopal Church.
