Elizabeth Jenkins

Elizabeth "Betty" Jenkins, 94, of Battle Creek , died on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.Betty was born on April 9, 1917, in Three Rivers, Michigan to Johna and Emma (Buffington) Rodehaver. She graduated from Vicksburg High School. In April 1936, she married Harry Jenkins. He preceded her in death.Betty worked for Kellogg's in Quality Control for 31 years. She retired in 1977. She volunteered for several years at the Manatee Hospital in Florida. Betty was a member of the Kellogg 25 year club. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and ceramics.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Ken Harvey of Marshall and son and daughter-in-law Neil and Gale Jenkins of Damascus, OR, and an daughter-in-law Maxine Jenkins of Bonita Springs FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Ronald Jenkins a granddaughter Robin Vogel, and eight siblings.A private family service will take place at a later date.
